SWG bar License 1.0 (MMF-style) Copyright (c) 2026 Eric (nonbutAworker) Scope "SWG bar Source" means the original source code and other project files made available under this license, including the macOS client, Chrome companion extension, Native Messaging host, and associated original assets and tools. Third-party material identified as having a separate license is governed by that license instead. Permissions You may use, inspect, copy, build, run, and modify the SWG bar Source, subject to the publication conditions below. There are no restrictions on private use or private modifications, including use on a computer at work. You do not need to purchase an official SWG bar license to build or modify the source solely for your own use. Publication conditions 1. If you publish a work derived from the SWG bar Source, make its origin in SWG bar apparent and retain the applicable copyright and license notices. 2. "Your Program" means a program or browser extension that you publish and that contains files or code copied or derived from the SWG bar Source. Publication includes distributing compiled applications, installers, Native Messaging hosts, packaged browser extensions, store versions, and unpacked extensions that users can load in developer mode. Interpreted extension code is covered even when no compilation step is needed. 3. Your Program must not contain malware or hidden malicious content. 4. Unless the exception below applies, you may not charge users money for Your Program. Your source must retain, without alteration, the monetization systems present in the SWG bar Source you used, including license activation, trial-use tracking, payment integration, and any corresponding extension or Native Messaging license checks. These systems must remain active and work as intended in Your Program. This condition does not require adding monetization systems that are absent from the source version you used. 5. Exception: if your source contains substantial improvements or additions such that Your Program is a distinct derivative product, the restrictions on charging users and preserving the original monetization systems in condition 4 do not apply. You may release that product free of charge or charge for it. Attribution, notice retention, and the prohibition on malware still apply. Source sharing and private use You may share or fork the source for study and collaboration, subject to condition 1. Publishing a runnable browser extension in source form is publication of Your Program and is also subject to conditions 2 through 5. The publication conditions do not restrict building or modifying the software privately for your own use. Official releases and existing MIT permissions Trial and purchase terms for official releases are stated separately. This source license does not itself set a trial length, price, or purchase requirement for private self-builds. Source code and releases previously distributed under the MIT license remain governed by that license. This license does not revoke or restrict those existing permissions. The previous MIT text is preserved in LICENSE-MIT-legacy. New third-party contributions and dependencies retain their applicable licenses; this license does not grant rights that their copyright holders have not granted. Disclaimer THE SWG BAR SOURCE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWG BAR SOURCE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SWG BAR SOURCE. Notes This license follows the publication and monetization model of the MMF License by Noah Nuebling: https://github.com/noah-nuebling/mac-mouse-fix/blob/master/License It is a source-available license, not the MIT license or an OSI-approved open-source license. It permits private self-builds and substantially improved derivative products while protecting the original monetization systems in published copies without substantial improvements.
